1. Allocate timings for all the members at home. Of-course you cannot change school timings or office timings. But at-least you can stop live video streaming and unproductive whats app calls during the peak hours.
2. If your wi-fi signal is good in living room, but doesn’t reaches much in bedroom, shift your workstation to the living room. And shift others to the bedroom.
3. If your wi-fi signal is unreliable, shift some devices to mobile internet.
For eg: Most of the oldies have Jio which is having unlimited plan. Shift them from wifi to mobile data.
While kids are using wifi home broadband, you can use your mobile phone data for emails and office chat.
Here are few tips to optimise mobile data and hotspot.
1. Place mobile near open window or so for best possible network reception
2. Install greenify app on your phone and turn off unwanted background processes taking up internet.
3. Uninstall unwanted apps – For eg: Uninstalled Google maps, Swiggy, Zomato, Uber, Flipkart, Amazon shopping, as none of them are usable when in lockdown.
4. Apps like Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram takes up highest internet even when not open (in background)
5. Change your mobile settings. Stop notifications for not so important apps.
